We’ve just spent two very relaxing nights at Elysium Lodge and could have stayed much longer. The lodge itself is very clean, practical and homely with many special touches which reflect the caring nature of our host Cate. She went well above the call of duty to help us resolve a problem we encountered with our vehicle. As nice as the lodge is, the real magic for us was outside the door. It is so quiet and peaceful. An absolutely beautiful view overlooking a tree covered valley…birds in the trees, frogs croaking, the sounds of the bush, beautiful sunsets , no traffic noise… and the visits from mother and baby donkey. Our dog absolutely loved going for off lease walks and swimming in the dam. Thank you Cate. We hope to be back soon.

Quiet, peaceful retreat

Fantastic place to stay and really relax. Lovely lodge with great kitchen facilities - everything you need. Plenty of walking tracks. Layla the labrador enjoyed her stay! The donkeys were cool, especially the brand new baby. Thanks Cate. Jacki and Helen.

Airbnb Review Sensational

We had a sensational time at this lovely spot. The house was fantastic, nice and open and spotlessly clean. The kitchen is great (the oven is brilliant!) and everything we needed was there. We made good use of the enormous fire pit and thoroughly enjoyed driving and walking the many tracks around the property. It's a truly gorgeous part of the world. Being able to take the dog made it even more special. Thanks Cate, we'll definitely be back and next time, we'll do some star trail photography instead of slothing by the fire...maybe! The night sky was so lovely to enjoy. Cannot recommend this place enough. Book for more than a night, it's well worth it.

Airbnb Review Lovely Place

This is a lovely place to get away from the rat race. Comfortable and cozy even during the cold windy weather we encountered. Some well appreciated extras in the pantry to make the stay that bit more special.

Peace, quiet, tranquility! Elysian Lodge was a wonderful place for our family for three days. We were 6 (two parents and four young adult children) and this was a good number for the lodge. It is very light filled, the views are lovely, the fire pit was wonderful. No road noise, or sound of others, just quiet. We had no trouble catering with the breakfast Cate provided. Crows Nest is about 10 minutes drive - the IGA has everything you need, there is a butcher too, and a baker - so no need to worry about bringing too much with you. We would happily return and would happily recommend this to couples or families for a peaceful getaway in pretty country.
